Submission Guidelines and Tips
The basic information you need to submit a building is:
- The building name
- The building location: the city and the approximate position in the map
There is a bit more optional info you may add if you have it:
- The architect
- The year it was built. If the building was rebuilt at some point, choose the most significant date.
- Some basic description of the building. You can write your own, or get it from a public domain place (as wikipedia). If you do so, make sure you recognize the source in the text.
- Photographs: there is one main photo, and you can add as many as you want as secondary - see photo requirements below.
- Visit information: any detail that could help anybody interested in visiting the building, including if the building is open for visits or appointments, schedules, driving directions, etc.
- Address: you can fill in as many address details as you have: country, city and even street and number if you have it. You can also locate the building in the map.
Photo Requirements
We ask you to submit only your original pictures: please make sure that you do not submit copyrighted materials. Ideally, the pictures should be in high resolution and do not include you. The maximum picture size is 2500x1500 pixels. If you have a bigger photo, you will have to reduce it before uploading it.
You can add:
- One main picture.
- Additional Pictures: you can add as many as you want - just click on upload after selecting each one of them. These pictures are displayed as thumbnails below the building description.
